The Catfish Classic Golf to #ChallengeALS is the triangle’s largest independent event benefiting North Carolina’s The ALS Association NC Chapter. Spanning two 18-hole courses at the private, members-only North Ridge Country Club on nearly 400 acres of scenic terrain, the Catfish Classic offers sponsors and guests the opportunity to play an amazing round of golf while supporting the fight to find a cause and a cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

The ALS Association leads the fight to treat and cure ALS through global research and nationwide advocacy. We empower people with Lou Gehrig’s Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support.
Research
With 140 active research projects funded globally to find effective treatments and a cure, your donations to the ALS Association have advanced significant new discoveries and shed light on the complex factors involved in ALS.
Treatment
You help us significantly fund all 5 ALS Clinics in NC. We pay for many services that are not covered by insurance, Medicare and Medicaid. We believe that every patient deserves the best care available.
Support
Your donations help us provide 15 support groups, 5 loan closets, counseling and the only financial grant program available to all North Carolinians living with ALS. In 2014 alone we funded 530 grants to families.
Advocacy
We worked with Congress to remove the Medicare waiting period for people with ALS, passed the National ALS Registry Act and influenced research spending approaching $1 billion over the last 10 years.
